Panel Programmer
Welcome to the NXNEi panel programmer forum. Please suggest and vote on panels you’d like to see or be a part of at NXNEi.
How this is going to work:
Once a panel receives 50 votes, we will mark it as “completed”. This means it will be considered for selection to be part of NXNEi. It is NOT a confirmation that the panel will be part of the event until further notice.
Most importantly this process gives you votes back to use on other sessions!

Showering Optional: Tips for Remote Employees
Remotely working isn't the same as working remote. What's the best way to thwart social isolation? Do you really need face time to prove you're getting your work done? Dispel the myths (watching endless hours of daytime television), perpetuate the stereotypes (wearing pajamas to work), and learn the tricks of the trade (pressing mute during conference calls while the dog barks in the background). "Telecommuting" is so 2002. "Remote Employees" are the new black.

Digital Nomads: will work for personal interaction
Digital Nomads, Laptop Warriors, Business Globetrotters, SOHO Survivors, Telecommuters – it doesn’t matter what you call us, those of us that don’t have an existing workplace environment miss out on the personal interaction that the watercooler can provide.
Many migrate to cafes, pubs, or libraries that offer free wifi, some find coworking facilities, some bear the expense of opening an office for their startup, but few are happy to stay at home. Most people need that personal interaction with others at some point in their day. It’s part of human nature.
This panel will include:

Location/North
Location apps are red hot. Twitter and Facebook are adding location as a core element in their status updates. Foursquare and Gowalla went head to head at SXSWi for the title of "Mayor of the Checkin".
Is this overhyped? Are we excited? What are traditionnal directory publishers (aka yellow pages) up to? What about newspapers, aren't they a likely local king?
This panel will feature local experts (from coast to coast, this is a big country) on the who, what, why and of course, the where! We will explore, discuss, disagree and might even have a little bit of fun...

What the Hell Does Batman Have to do with My Digital Brand?
In the days of emerging (and over-hyped) brand strategy methods, it's time for brands to embrace their digital calling. Social Media needs to be saved from itself and transparency is a misnomer.
Today's new digital brand must engage community in a way that creates loyalty and mystique at the same time. This panel will help you open your mind to embrace the new digital brand atmosphere, take back control of your brand, tell the big agency to "screw off"!, and embrace creative opportunities so that your brand will create a cult following.
